Continuing alternate timeline stuff I developed during my stint with a particular company. Here are timeline notes for 3146, developed as background for a now-abandoned project.

The complete timeline, which was developed prior to the book in order to set up the backstories included therein, was provided to writers during the solicitation. This way, context was provided for their writing prompts. This working timeline was a collaborative effort as I relied on the support knowledge of three other prominent writers of the line at the time.

Suffice to say, this isn’t official any more as it became obsolete the moment I resigned from the company.

I’ll be dropping a new year every Tuesday (#TimelineTuesday) for the next few weeks. Enjoy a glimpse into the 32nd century, as I envisioned it.

[Jan] An additional [3? 5? 7?] regiments of mercenaries assemble at Goshen. As Erik unfolds PERCEVAL (a small task force under Sandoval to conduct raids and key strikes on DCMS holdings within the former Draconis March) and CERBERUS to the assembled forces, Julian embarks to June to meet with the remains of the Federated Suns government-in-exile.

[Jan] Acting in their capacity as part of the Clan Protectorate member-state of the FWL, Clan Sea Fox enacts an economic interdiction of Regulus, which soon begins to take a toll on its people. The Regulans fight back, sending a few naval task forces against the enforcing aimags but fail miserably.

[Mar] AFFS forces begin to split up into PERCEVAL and CERBERUS task forces, based from Remagen and Goshen, respectively.

[Mar] Julian Davion accepts the crown in a hasty ceremony on June. He vows to bring the fight to the Confederation and assures the AFFS High Command that New Avalon will not remain a Combine holding for long.

[Apr] Marian Hegemony conducts raids against FWL border worlds.

[May-Jan] In order to placate the growing unrest among the populace and his military, Julian authorizes a series of small raids against the Confederation. The raids are more insurgent in nature, designed to hit critical depots, manufacturing, and key military outposts, as well as resupply and reinforce planetary rebellion groups. Though technically a “violation” of the agreed-upon cease-fire, Danai allows the FedSuns their “playtime” and maintains the border status quo. For now. 

[Jun] Loyal LCAF forces attempt to retake Valloire and Ayacucho. Valloire falls but Ayacucho turns into a stalemate.

[Aug] Kaff Doru and Sam Calderon announce the arranged marriage of their children, Reva (12 years old) and Bryant (8), and the reunification of the Taurian Concordat and Calderon Protectorate that will result once Bryant turns 18.

[Oct] Marian Hegemony forces hit Gibraltar. Evidence of Magistracy and Capellan support uncovered.

[Oct] PERCEVAL begins with raiding strikes along the DCMS front, attempting to disrupt Combine supply dumps and provide temporary relief and news to Suns rebel groups on occupied worlds. Sandoval refrains from retaking any worlds at this time, knowing that do so would be military suicide. “Strike and move” is the mantra as the AFFS attempts to keep the Combine guessing as the Suns desperately tries to rebuild and rearm.

[Nov] By this time reduced to barely a company in strength and with a sizable number of civilians now attached to her command, a desperate Callandre Kell and the Kell Hounds disappear into the Periphery
